Gate of Harmonious Interest is the oldest entrance to Chinatown located in downtown Victoria which is over 40ft tall. I am a frequent visitor to this part of the town and am always amazed by the architectural elements of this structure. I painted this piece Plein-air piece over two sessions during the morning hours when the east light was just starting to light up this historical structure.
