Oil on panel, done in the studio but based on plein air sketches. This is the Bluenose II, the sailing ambassador of my home province of Nova Scotia, and of Canada. She visited the port where my daughter was taking sailing lessons while I sketched the students in their little boats. In fact, my daughter was out in one of those little boats as the Bluenose sailed by them.
